Naples, FL August 28, 2025 — Since the newly renovated St. Matthew’s House flagship thrift
store at 2601 Airport Road South reopened in July, the not-for-profit organization is closing its
nearby smaller thrift store at 1115 Airport Pulling Road South.
According to Steve Brooder, St. Matthew’s House president and CEO, “Just as many major
retailers are doing, it is more cost efficient to consolidate store locations. We can deliver a
better experience for our shoppers at our other locations and reduce overhead expense.”
Ben Bridges, St. Matthew’s House Vice President of Programs and incoming CEO adds,
“Every dollar of revenue generated by our St. Matthew’s House thrift stores goes to sustain
life-changing programs for those we serve. This closing is part of a broader strategy aimed at
efficiency and stewarding the generosity of our community more effectively.”
The newly renovated Naples flagship store has a bright, all-new look and expanded displays
for upscale merchandise. A wider selection includes high-quality home and patio furnishings,
décor and dishware finds, jewelry and other accessories, casual to designer label fashions for
men and women and much more.
The St. Matthew’s House thrift stores are a vital source of funds for the many programs
