Privacy policy
Last updated 19 August 2026
This page describes what this site collects, what happens to it, and how to have it removed. It is written to be read, so it is short.
What you give us
The only thing the subscribe form asks for is an email address. There is one hidden field on the form that exists to catch automated spam, and a human filling in the form never sees it or types into it.
Nothing else on this site asks you for information. There is no account to create and no comment section.
What gets recorded without you doing anything
This site is hosted by Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify records standard request information when a page is served, including the IP address the request came from, the browser and operating system reported by that browser, and the page requested. That happens on every website you visit and it is how a server delivers a page at all.
The fonts on this site are served by Google Fonts. Your browser fetches them from Google, which means Google receives your IP address when the page loads. If that matters to you, the fonts can be moved onto this domain, and it is on the list to do.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising pixel, and no third-party tracker, and it stores nothing in your browser. There is nothing here to opt out of.
If that changes, for example if an analytics tool or a Meta pixel is added later, this section gets rewritten before the change goes live and the date at the top will move.
What it is used for
The email address is used to send you the newsletter. That is the whole purpose.
It is not used to build an advertising audience, it is not uploaded to any ad platform, and it is not matched against anything.
Who else can see it
Netlify hosts this site and stores form submissions on our behalf. Nothing is sold, rented, or traded. Nothing is handed to a data broker or an advertising network.
Information would only be disclosed further if a law or a valid legal order required it.
How long it is kept
Your email address is kept for as long as you are subscribed. When you unsubscribe it comes off the list, and the record of the original submission is deleted within 30 days.
Getting removed
Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you are off.
You can also write to Partnerships@naplesfloridalife.com and ask to be removed, and to have the stored submission deleted. Expect it done within 30 days, usually much sooner.
You can also ask what is held about you, and ask for it to be corrected. Same address, same timeline.
Children
This site is meant for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has submitted something, write to us and it will be deleted.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. There is no archive of old versions, so the page you are reading is the current one.
